It is Women’s History Month and I want to do something different. Starting next week, I’ll be sharing the stories of inspiring women in my life and in my Des Moines community who are making impacts with the work that they do. Be on the look out for a profile on Kayla Bell- Consolver, the Director of the Drake Counseling Center at Drake University.
I love your idea and I look forward to reading your posts!
When I attended Iowa State University, a group of people started "Women's Week." I think that was in 1973. There were lots of speakers (covering the ERA, feminist theory, Title IX, the rape epidemic and other topics). It continued for a couple of years, but I do not know if it is still an annual event.
